Delete your account

1. Overview

You can permanently delete your tripMates account at any time. Deletion is irreversible and removes your personal data from our systems, subject to the details below.

2. Delete your account in the app

The fastest way is from the tripMates mobile app:

1. Open the tripMates app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile (your account screen).
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Read the confirmation message carefully, then confirm by typing the required confirmation word and validating.

Once confirmed, your account is deleted immediately. You will be signed out and will no longer be able to sign in with that account.

3. What is deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

• Your account profile (name, email, password, avatar)
• Trips you own and their related content
• Your contributions to shared trips (for example expenses you paid, documents you uploaded, and related split data)
• Push notification tokens associated with your account

4. Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app or prefer not to delete the account yourself, contact us and we will process the request:

Please include:

• The email address linked to your tripMates account
• A clear request to delete your account
• Any details that help us verify ownership of the account

We aim to complete email deletion requests within 7 days of verification.
